“The best time to start preparing was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

About Me

I reside in the piedmont area of North Carolina where I’ve owned and operated an IT business since 2006. I’ve traveled the world, worked everywhere from conference rooms in London to the Sahara Desert in Libya. I’ve been amazingly blessed in my first forty years with a tremendous amount of opportunities. In 2012 I took a serious interest in firearms education and safety training. I’ve worked for nine years to create a safety-oriented and “real world” applicable course of instruction for pistol, rifle, personal defense, and other firearms courses. I am an NRA and DOJ certified instructor and certified CRSO, I’ve also been an avid “prepper” for most of my adult life, and later became a HAM radio operator and GMRS radio operator. If you can do it in the preparedness world, I wanted to learn it and master it.

I took the “Be Prepared” aspect of Boy Scouts to heart at a young age. Later in life I fully embraced the Navy Seal motto – “Two is one, and one is none” when it comes to preparedness. I sincerely enjoy educating others about how to prepare properly for emergencies whether it be getting home from a natural disaster when stranded, to preserving your family home or farm for extended outages, or knowing how to properly treat a gunshot wound. Knowledge is power and you never know what you’re going to need until the moment you need it. The purpose of this site is to share some of that knowledge with the rest of the world.

My Background

I’ve always got more going on than the 24-hour day allows me to get done. When I’m not working, my wife and I are cooking dinner for friends on our patio, riding the motorcycle, paying with my dogs, practicing together at the range, teaching classes, camping, and working on our preparations with our core group.

Contacting Me

There is a “Contact Me” button at the top of this site. Use that to reach me. Between my career, hobbies, and preparing to live in a world that is increasingly looking like it wants to fall apart, that’s the best method to reach me. I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible. If you’re reaching out for product demo offers, use that same form. I’ll get back in touch as quickly as possible.
